Mammary gland

The portion of a mature female breast that produces milk.  

Manual stimulation

Rubbing or applying pressure to the penis or clitoris with the hands and fingers to produce arousal and orgasm.  Extremely important for G-Spot stimulation and orgasm.

Masochism

A sexual behavior in which someone derives sexual pleasure from experiencing pain.

Masters and Johnson's four-phase model

A model of the sexual response cycle that divides it into four phases: excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution.

Masturbation

Self-stimulation of the genitals either manually, with a vibrator or other sex toy for the purpose of sexual pleasure.

Menage a trois

A sexual relationship or encounter between three people.  Also known as a threesome.

Menopause

The end of a women's menstrual cycle due to hormone changes usually between the ages of 45 and 60.  Also called the "change of life" marking the end of fertility.  

Menstrual cycle

The  monthly process during which the uterus is readied for implantation of a fertilized ovum. If fertilization does not occur the uterine lining is then shed.  

Menstruation

The  monthly sloughing of the uterine lining which results in a bloody discharge from the vaginal opening. Also referred to as menses. 

Mini-pill

A birth control pill that contains a low dose of progesterone and no estrogen. 

Missionary position 

A sexual position during intercourse where partners are lying face to face with the man on top.

Monogamy

Marriage or commitment to engage in sex with one person at a time.

Mons pubis

The mound of fatty tissue covering the pubic bone in women that is covered by pubic hair and also known as mons veneris.

Mons veneris

The pubic mound, Latin for mound of Venus (Roman Goddess of love). Also known as mons pubis.

Morning-after pill

A postcoital contraceptive pill that can be used in emergency situations for preventing pregnancy after unprotected intercourse has occurred.  It must be taken within 72 hours and again 12 hours after the initial dose.

M Squared

Mutual masturbation.

Mucous Method

A method of checking fertility in which a woman stretches her cervical mucus between her fingers to determine the time of ovulation. The mucous thickens prior to ovulation.

Multiple orgasms

Having several orgasms in a short period of time with no refractory period in between. Women are extremely capable of having multiple orgasms easily.  Men can have multiple orgasms by learning to hold back from ejaculating.

Myotonia

Increased muscle tension during sexual arousal accompanied by involuntary contractions.
