Fallopian tube

One of the two tubes extending from the ovary to the uterus through which eggs are transported.

Fellatio

Oral stimulation with mouth and tongue of the male genitals.

Female circumcision

The surgical removal of the clitoris and all or part of the labia. Also known as clitoridectomy.

Female condom

A soda-can-shaped pouch that is placed inside the vagina to line the vaginal walls for prevention of pregnancy and disease.

Female Ejaculation

The expulsion of fluid from a women's urethra or vagina during orgasm.

Femme

A lesbian who exhibits stereotypical feminine traits.  

Fertilization

The union of sperm and egg in the fallopian tube resulting in conception.  

Fetishes

Obtaining sexual excitement primarily or exclusively from an inanimate object or a particular part of the body.

Fetishism

Obtaining sexual excitement primarily or exclusively from an inanimate object or a particular part of the body.

Fetishistic Transvestism

A paraphilia in which a man becomes sexually excited by cross-dressing. Unlike non-fetishistic transvestism where the motivation is not for sexual excitement.   

Fimbriae

The fingerlike projections at the end of the fallopian tube extending towards the ovary.

Flaccid

The relaxed state of the penis when it is not erect.

Flagellation

The use of whipping for sexual arousal and excitement. 

Flagellum

The tail of a sperm that helps to propel it.

Follicle

The sac of estrogen-secreting cells in the ovary that contains an egg.

Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)

A hormone secreted by the pituitary that regulates follicle development in females and sperm production in males.  

Foreplay

A term used to refer to sexual activities  such as kissing and touching that are sexually arousing to both partners prior to intercourse. 

Foreskin

The sheath of skin covering the glans of the penis that is removed during circumcision.

Fornication

Sexual intercourse between two unmarried people.

Frenulum

A highly sensitive triangular area of skin on the underside of the penis, where the glans meets the foreskin.

Frigidity

An old fashioned term that refers to a lack of sexual response in a woman. True frigidity is highly unlikely in any woman.

Frotteurism

A behavior characterized by obtaining sexual excitement from touching or rubbing one's body against others without their consent.
